Jamison Downs, Managing Principal, began his career in commercial real estate in 2004 and it wasn’t long before his passion for the industry and entrepreneurial spirit allowed him to forge ahead and partner with Veritas Realty in 2011 to carry out his vision of building a commercial real estate company by using impeccable service, staffing and technology to assist retailers, restaurants and healthcare businesses in developing and implementing strategic plans for penetrating markets nationwide, as well as bringing an experienced, multidisciplinary approach to working with landlords and investors on the acquisition, leasing, development and dispositions of shopping centers and outparcels.

Jamison has completed more than $425,000,000 in lease & sale transactions over the past 5 years. Throughout his career, he has been consistently recognized for accomplishments in the commercial real estate industry including “Forty Under 40” (Indianapolis Business Journal), “National Power Broker” (CoStar) numerous times, “Largest Retail Leases” (CCIM Institute, Indianapolis Business Journal) numerous times, and “Indy’s Best and Brightest” (Junior Achievement of Central Indiana). His experience encompasses many facets of leasing, site selection, land assembly, development, management, finance, and sales on both the tenant and landlord side, resulting as a nationally recognized deal producer.

Jamison has orchestrated hundreds of transactions in major markets including Chicago, Columbus, Detroit, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Louisville, Memphis, Milwaukee, Minneapolis, Philadelphia, Phoenix, Portland, Seattle, and St. Louis. He has a proven track record having developed and executed successful “market entry” strategies for clients including Verizon, Starbucks, Hy-Vee, Andretti Racing, TESLA, Total Wine & More, Fresh Thyme Market, Darden Restaurants, Chili’s, Chicken Salad Chick, CoreLife Eatery, Garden Table, Landry’s Restaurant Group, Lou Malnati’s Pizzeria, Swenson’s, VASA Fitness, PetPeople, FedEx, uBreakiFix, Tuesday Morning, Kirkland’s, ATI Physical Therapy, WellNow Urgent Care, and Aspen Dental. Furthermore, he has negotiated 240+ leases and build-to-suits across the country for The Cellular Connection, the largest Verizon Premium Retailer.

In addition to his core tenant representation work, Jamison has counseled numerous municipalities and landlord clients on assemblages, developments and redevelopments of single and multi-tenant retail, restaurant and medical across 18 states ranging from local owners, institutions and top tier landlords including CIM, Gershman Partners, Hendricks Commercial, Keystone Realty Group, Kimco, Lauth, RPT Realty, Sandor, Sansome Pacific, Simon, TWG, VEREIT, Viking Partners, and Washington Prime.

Prior to Veritas, Jamison spent six years with Sandor Development where his primary role was the leasing and development of 7 million square feet of shopping centers nationwide. He graduated with a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship from University of Dayton where he was a scholarship athlete playing four years of Division I Men’s Tennis and served as team captain. Jamison is a member of ICSC, ChainLinks Retail Advisors, and Meridian Hills Country Club. He has served on numerous boards and is a coach of several youth athletic teams.
